The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia represents parishes, Catholic organizations, and schools through a variety of investment funds. You can express your love for our faith and support these organizations by donating directly to their funds.
Health & Essential Needs
The CFGP Health and Essential Needs Fund focuses on providing healthcare access and care management programs to the underserved, as well as addressing the needs of the community as it works to find new approaches to end hunger, shelter the homeless, offer permanent housing and bring opportunities to those who are struggling.
CFGP’s Women in Philanthropy Leadership Fund provides women with a direct participatory role in identifying the organizations, initiatives and leaders who are making the greatest impact in our community. Donors to the Women in Philanthropy Leadership Fund are offered, on an annual basis, exclusive opportunities to connect with other philanthropic leaders and learn more about the organizations in our community that are doing the most good. Donors at our highest giving levels are offered voting privileges for Women in Philanthropy Leadership Fund grants and awards.
The Catholic Human Services Charitable Fund is to be utilized to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Catholic Human Services (CHS) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Catholic Medical Association fund supports Catholic medical professionals so they can practice medicine according to their conscience. This support is critical to ensure the current and next generation of families has access to authentically Catholic healthcare. CMA is involved in national/state advocacy as well as the spiritual and educational formation of its members.
The Don Guanella and Divine Providence Endowment Fund was created to support the Communities of Don Guanella & Divine Providence (DGDP) in perpetuity. These two communities embrace adults with intellectual and physical disabilities and provide them with compassionate care. In partnership with families, employees, and volunteers, DGDP offers a wide range of programming options including Community and Campus-Based Living Arrangements, Life Sharing Through Family Living, In-Home Supports, Respite Care, and Day Programs. This Endowment Fund supports all operations and programs of DGDP, both now and for the future.
In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, CFGP has established the Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) to provide a quick response to the emergency needs of the community within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. This includes food pantries, vital social service ministries and organizations, and local parishes that are working to address the emergency needs of their community.
This fund supports organizations engaged in raising awareness, education, etc. related to addiction and recovery from substance abuse disorder. This includes support for addiction recovery among faith leadership and for the education of priests to enable them to help members of their congregations deal with issues related to addiction and recovery.
The Gianna Center Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant andequipment and capital expenditures of Gianna Center of Philadelphia, as well as to support the various socialservices, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Gianna Center of Philadelphia.
The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 that serves the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world. In Philadelphia, the Little Sisters operate Holy Family Home, a residential home for seniors that follows the example of their foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan, offering a family-like place where seniors will experience love and respect. Holy Family Home has three levels of care: independent living apartments for low-income seniors, personal care private rooms, and skilled nursing care private rooms. The Little Sisters of the Poor, Philadelphia - Holy Family Home Program Fund within CFGP supports the mission of the Little Sisters at Holy Family Home and assists seniors in their care.
The Mother of Mercy House Program Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment and capital expenditures of Mother of Mercy House, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Mother of Mercy House.
The Physician’s Charitable Fund supports healthcare, educational opportunities, and social services for underprivileged individuals.
Education & Youth Development
The mission of the John Cardinal Foley Chair of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary is to support the work of the Catholic Church in the realm of social communications by teaching seminarians and church groups, working with staff in parishes and dioceses, and engaging in dialogue with journalists and media professionals. The Cardinal Foley Chair Endowment Fund was established to support the incredible work being done by St. Charles Borromeo Seminary to remain a superlative academic institution for undergraduate and graduate learning while prioritizing the spiritual formation of our seminarians.
The Cardinal Foley Chair Program Fund’s purpose is to maintain “The John Cardinal Foley Chair for Homiletics and Social Communications.”
Launched in 2006, Catholic Athletes for Christ (CAC) serves athletes in the practice of their faith. The Catholic Athletes for Christ Program Fund will support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations within CAC.
The Catholic Elementary Schools Sustainability Fund is to be utilized to support the operational expenses and budgetary needs of the Office of Catholic Education for the Elementary Schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Debbie Getz Memorial Fund shall be used to provide financial assistance in the form of a grant to students attending Our Lady of Confidence School who have proven financial need.
The Dr. O'Harra Scholarship Fund ws created to provide members of Holy Family Parish (Philadelphia) the opportunity to develop professionally, civically, and spiritually through the attainment of higher education.
The Larry Perzan Vocational High School Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to rising 9th graders from an Independence Mission School ("IMS") who are entering into a Catholic, Archdiocesan career-vocational -technical education high school, or a Catholic, Archdiocesan high school career-vocational-technical education program.
Since 1993, the Providence Center of Philadelphia has served the Fairhill and West Kensington communities of North Philadelphia, offering adult education, youth empowerment, and community building services. The organization also has an exceptional history serving the surrounding Latino population with their English language and leadership programs. The Providence Center Charitable Fund supports all programs and opportunities provided by the organization to ensure its long-term success and availability to the community.
The Rising Together Alliance Fund is to be utilized to support capital expenditures of Rising Together Alliance, as well as to support the various educational services, programs and organizations of Rising Together Alliance.
Tuition assistance at St. Francis de Sales School.
The Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Endowment fund will provide general ongoing support for the seminary.
This fund shall be used to support the initiatives included in the Saint Charles Borromeo comprehensive campaign.
The Sarah O. Hanley Scholarship Fund for Young Philanthropists is to be utilized to award an annual scholarship(s) to a student from a Catholic elementary or secondary school in the five-county area of Greater Philadelphia. The scholarship(s) will be awarded to a student who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to the community through their passion, innovation, dedication, and leadership in philanthropy.
The St. Francis de Sales School Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment, and capital expenditures of St. Francis de Sales School, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs, and organizations of St. Francis de Sales School.
The St. Jude Catholic School Program Fund is to be used for St. Jude School (Chalfont) general purposes.
The St. Monica Church Education Fund offers tuition assistance to parishioners who send their children to Catholic School. By supporting this fund you are giving a child the opportunity to receive a Catholic education, this is a priceless gift.
The St. Stanislaus Parish Religious Education Program Fund is to be utilized for the general support of Catholic, Religious Education at St. Stanislaus Parish, and parishioner tuition assistance at the parish.
The Terri Schiavo Scholarship Fund honors the life and legacy of Theresa “Terri” Schiavo. This Scholarship Fund awards a one-year partial scholarship to eighth grade students currently enrolled in a Catholic elementary school who plan to attend an Archdiocesan high school.
The Advancement Scholarship Fund is distributed annually to a freshman entering a degree program at an accredited college or university who previously attended a Catholic school in the 5-county Philadelphia area.
The Bobbie McCabe Memorial Fund supports the Stephen ministries of the Daylesford Abbey Assembly. The Stephen Ministry at Daylesford Abbey mentors those in need of compassion, love and care during periods of crisis, transition, or difficulty.
Contributions to this Memorial Fund help continue Christine Kaczmar-Russo’s legacy of supporting international students attending St. Joseph’s University. This was her passion as she traveled extensively helping to create international programs and connections for the University.
The Endowment Fund for Priestly Formation within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia supports Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and helps assure future seminarians the resources they will need to complete their studies.
The Regina Academies Fund is to be utilized for direct support of Regina Academies lnc. The Regina Academies include: Regina Angelorum Academy, Regina Luminis Academy, Regina Coeli Academy, The Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist and Regina Chesterton Academy at Cardinal O’Hara High School.
The Vagabond Missions Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment and capital expenditures of Vagabond Missions, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Vagabond Missions.
The Vagabond Missions: Black and Hispanic Missionary Fund will fund young men and women who are black, Hispanic, and/or come from inner-city neighborhoods to be able to serve as missionaries for Vagabond Missions.
Conservation & Preservation
The CFGP Conservation and Preservation Fund strives to maintain and restore important architectural sites while also supporting communities in the conservation of environmental resources.
The St. John the Evangelist Parish Fund supports the preservation and upkeep of the historic church and structures of St. John the Evangelist Parish.
Faith-Based Services & Outreach
The AJVAPV – Valletta Family Charitable Fund supports the various social services, educational services, ministries and programs provided by Catholic, faith-based organizations in Greater Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The Annunciation B.V.M. Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of Annunciation B.V.M Parish.
The Archbishop's Ministry Support Fund provides grants to the vital ministries, programs, and organizations of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Archdiocese of Philadelphia New Evangelization Fund: Igniting the Faithful, Seeking the Lost is to be utilized to support the ministries of the Office for the New Evangelization within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Vocation Office Fund: Heed the Call supports the various ministries, outreach programs, and initiatives of the Vocation Office for Diocesan Priesthood aimed to reach men who are discerning a possible call to the priesthood.
The Assumption B.V.M. Parish Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment, and capital expenditures of Assumption B.V.M. Parish, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs, and organizations of Assumption B.V.M. Parish.
The Building the Church Universal Fund strives to support nonprofit organizations and ministries while aligning with our Catholic Faith. We focus on entities throughout the world in our desire to unite ourselves with the Universal Catholic Church in building God's kingdom on earth.

The Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish Fund supports the various services, ministries, and programs of the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Catholic Leadership Institute Program Fund is to be utilized for services provided by the Catholic Leadership Institute to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia based on the Catholic Leadership Institute’s service pricing.
The Christ in the City Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant andequipment and capital expenditures of Christ in the City, as well as to support the various social services,educational services, ministries, programs, and organizations of Christ in the City.
The Endow Program Fund supports the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations within Endow, which is a Catholic apostolate for women. It calls women together to study the important documents of the church. The Michael the Archangel Ministry Fund supports the effort of assisting Philadelphia Police Officers, active and retired, in the area of pastoral care and other supportive services such as suicide prevention and PTSD.
The Office for Faith Formation with Youth and Young Adults Fund supports the Archdiocesan Office for Faith Formation with Youth and Young Adults which supports and equips parish leaders for effective ministry with children, youth, and young adults by promoting lifelong formation and cultivating missionary discipleship.
The Our Lady of Fatima Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
The Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment, and capital expenditures of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
The Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Restoration and Sustainability Fund supports the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment expenditures of the parish and supports the various social services, ministries and organizations of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in Hilltown.
The Parish Support Initiative was created to assist parish communities in maintaining sustainable giving levels throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. CFGP launched this initiative in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The Parish Support Initiative is not only offering parishes a second stream of revenue outside of regular offertory envelopes and their current electronic giving platforms, but it is also opening the door for others to support parishes within the Archdiocese.
The Permanent Diaconate Ministry Fund provides independent and supplemental resources desperately needed to build, enhance, and support the Permanent Diaconate in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The support received from the fund will be directed to a wide range of activities that flow from the deacon’s charisms of Word, Sacrament, and Charity -- from ministry and vocation awareness to continuing formation. Contributions to the Permanent Diaconate Ministry Fund will foster and support the charitable works and services provided by the Permanent Diaconate to the people of God and His Church.

The Saint John the Baptist Parish Fund is to be used to support the property, infrastructure, plant, and equipment expenditures of Saint John the Baptist Parish and support the various social services, ministries, and organizations of Saint John the Baptist Parish.
The Saint Margaret Parish Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment and capital expenditures of Saint Margaret Parish, as well as to support the various socialservices, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Saint Margaret Parish.

The Saint Peter Parish Annual Fund supports Capital Projects and other upgrades connected with Saint Peter Parish facilities and grounds (the “Facility”). This includes installation, upgrades, and replacement of technology and the security system in the Facility.
The Saint Richard Parish Fund is to be utilized to support purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment and capital expenditures of Saint Richard Parish, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of Saint Richard Parish.
The St. Agatha - St. James Parish Fund supports the many sacramental ministries, social services and educational programs provided by the Parish and its Newman Ministry.
The St. Andrew Parish Fund supports the maintenance of St. Andrew’s property and infrastructure. It also serves to support the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of the parish.
The St. Anselm Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Anselm Parish.
The St. Anthony of Padua Parish Fund will support the mission and vision of St. Anthony Parish. This includes local initiatives, such as our Saint Vincent de Paul fund that benefits those in need in the parish/Ambler area, particularly women and children. The Fund will support the Sisters of Our Lady of the Visitation, a small order of nuns in the Diocese of Bo, Sierra Leone.
The St. Bede the Venerable Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Bede the Venerable Parish.
The St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church Fund is to be used to support the property, infrastructure, plant, and equipment expenditures of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church and support the various social services, ministries, and organizations of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic
The St. Cornelius Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Cornelius Parish.
The St. Dominic Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Dominic Parish.
The purpose of the St. Helena Parish Endowment Fund is to provide for the sustainability of the parish through the creation of the St. Helena Parish Endowment.
The St. Jude Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs, and other priorities of the parish.
The St. Katharine Drexel Parish Fund is to be utilized to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
The Saint Kevin Parish Sustainability Fund is to be used to support the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment expenditures of the parish and support the various social services, ministries and organizations of Saint Kevin Parish.
The St. Laurence Sustainability Fund allows donors to make restricted gifts for capital projects, such as ceiling restoration, school capital needs, or other projects identified by the Fund Advisory members. It also supports the property, infrastructure, plant, and equipment expenditures of St. Laurence Parish, as well as supports the various social services, ministries, and organizations for the parish.
Every year St. Maria Goretti Parish gladly bears the significant expense of subsidizing and sponsoring numerous assistance programs and ministries that benefit our church families, children, youth, young adults, adults and seniors. To assist with funding, SMG is partnering with The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia to establish the SMG Assistance Fund, which will be used to support the vital programs and ministries of the Parish. Please join with us in supporting our Parish families and community through our assistance programs and ministries by giving to the SMG Assistance Fund. Supporting the SMG Assistance Fund is a way that you can directly and cost effectively enable the Parish to sustain and expand the programs and ministries that benefit our church families, children, youth, young adults, adults and seniors.
The St. Maria Goretti Parish Fund supports the property, infrastructure, plant, and equipment expenditures of St. Maria Goretti Parish, as well as supports the various social services, ministries, and organizations of the parish.
The St. Martha Parish Sustainability Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Martha Parish.
The St. Mary Magdalen Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
The St. Mary of Providence Center Fund is to be utilized to support the mission and ministry of extending hospitality and enriching the faith life of retreat guests in an atmosphere of prayer and reflection at its Retreat Center and to provide affordable retirement living at its Independent Senior Living Apartments for those over 60 years of age who wish to live in a Christian environment. Its purposes will be environmental beautification, spiritual education/enrichment and social services and ministries as well as for the purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment and capital expenditures of St. Mary of Providence Center.

The St. Patrick Capital Fund is to be utilized to support the stained-glass windows project and other capital improvements of Saint Patrick Parish.

St. Peter Parish (Coplay) Program Fund is to be utilized for the general support of St. Peter Parish, Coplay, PA, including purposes of maintaining the property, infrastructure, plant and equipment, and capital expenditures of St. Peter Parish, Coplay, PA, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of St. Peter Parish, Coplay, PA.
The St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation Fund supports the St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation for Freedom, Family, and Faith (SRNF), which offers pastoral accompaniment for families in crisis. Started by the Mercedarian Religious Order in 2015, the foundation offers free pastoral care to families through the spiritual works of mercy.
The St. Stanislaus Parish Fund supports the programs, ministries, educational and social services, operational needs and other priorities of St. Stanislaus Parish.
The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal (CAMM) is committed to spreading devotion to Mary Immaculate and her Miraculous Medal, sharing our faith with those in the global community through our Beyond SundayTM program, and supporting the mission and ministries of the Vincentians of the Eastern Province. The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal Program Fund will support all associated missions of CAMM, the preservation of the historic Shrine located in Philadelphia, and aid in all community development and social service programs run or sponsored by the Eastern Province of the Congregation of the Mission.
The Culture Project Fund is to be utilized to support general programs and operating expenses of Culture Project, as well as to support the various social services, educational services, ministries, programs, and organizations of Culture Project.
Helps sustain the charitable work of The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia. These efforts help the Faithful grow in their love of the Lord, encourages all to participate and give back to the Church, and provides grants to organizations.
The Fund for the Foundation is the unrestricted endowment that supports the priority needs of The Catholic Foundation, ensuring its ability to serve the diverse needs of donors and Catholic organizations throughout the Church of Philadelphia in perpetuity.
The purpose of this fund is for seminarian formation and education at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
The purpose of The John and Harriet Stanton Culture of Life Endowment Fund is to support the mission of the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia by supplementing its annual budget, as well as to support its social services, educational activities, and ministries.
The John & Marion Shakely Charitable Fund supports Catholic youth and young professionals through scholarships and awards recognizing curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular achievements, as well as grants supporting Catholic youth and young professional endeavors.
The Living Scripture Institute (LSI) Fund was established to support delivery of our fully integrated spiritual and psychological process for the healing of men and women suffering the impact of traumatic experiences, through our safe, confidential and spiritual retreat programs; Rachel's Vineyard: healing after abortion; Grief to Grace: healing the wounds of abuse; Duty to Heal: finding peace for a soldier's heart; and to establish accessible training and education for certification of our leadership teams, including mental health professionals, clergy and religious institutes engaged in the pastoral care of souls, and our volunteer facilitators.
The Priests' Continuing Education and Leadership Training Fund shall be used to support ongoing leadership formation, training, and education of priests in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, including but not limited to supplies, services, equipment and projects, speaker and workshop/convocation fees above those typically budgeted annually; other educational expenses/services, and other expenditures that support the work and ministry of the priests of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Saint John Vianney Fund for Retired Priests ensures that our aging and infirm priests throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia receive assistance and care, preserving the dignity of their retirement and honoring their life of service.
The Saint Katharine Drexel Shrine Fund was established to pay for expenses related to the maintenance of Saint Katharine Drexel's tomb, located in the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
The Solidarity Fund supports the various social and educational services, ministries, programs and organizations of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Vincent Zeller Memorial Fund to benefit the Saint Mary Magdalen Parish and School in Media, Pennsylvania.

The purpose of the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) Philadelphia Chapter Program Fund is to support the sustainability and growth of the Philadelphia Chapter. YCP is a national program focused on young adults in their 20s and 30s. It provides a Faith-Based social network and enrichment programs designed to deepen their Love for Christ. With the overwhelming support of Archbishop Pérez, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia started a local chapter in August of 2021.
