Charitable Giving

Give Your Way. Secure Our Future.
The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia offers you a variety of ways to support Catholic causes during your lifetime. Our unparalleled knowledge of the needs of our region’s ministries ensures your gifts are stewarded where they are most needed. Our goal is to provide an avenue of giving that’s customized to you, while strengthening the ministries of our faith.

Types of Giving

Donor-Advised Funds

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a personal charitable giving account that allows you the freedom to decide where and how often you want to give. After opening your Donor-Advised Fund, you can make distributions from your fund to the ministries you wish to support.

Field of Interest Funds

Our Field of Interest Funds support various ministries within each of their special areas of focus. These funds represent organizations from all across the nonprofit sector, from ministries that support health and wellness to those that work to preserve historic entities of our faith.

Designated Program Funds

Whether you’re setting up a fund to support a parish or a community need, Designated Program Funds are a great way to support a specific cause or ministry you care about and invite others to join you in supporting it.

Endowment Funds

Endowment Funds ensure sustainability for an organization and allow its mission to be supported in perpetuity. These funds distribute a portion of the fund’s balance in the form of an annual grant to a parish, school, or ministry.

Ways to Give

Monthly Gifts

With a recurring monthly donation, you can ensure your gift today makes the greatest impact, helps the most people, and carries our faith forward.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

Also known as IRA Charitable Rollovers, this is a tax-free way for those 70 ½ or older to give directly to their favorite charities.

Stock/Other Appreciated Securities

Meet your giving goals, enjoy potential tax benefits, and contribute to the change you want to see.
