Angel Award

Transforming Generosity into Impact

In December 2022, we launched the Angel Award – a unique grant program supporting innovative effort that promote evangelization in the Greater Philadelphia area.Awarding grants between $25,000-$50,000, this program was envisioned as an investment in the future of the Church. Throughout the application process, the CFGP Grant Committee mentors applicants as they move through the grant cycle concluding with a final, live presentation made to members of our Board of Trustees who make the final award decisions. CFGP hosts a reception for the finalist presentations and invites local philanthropists to join in hearing the inventive and passionate work being done in the Catholic community.

Support Innovative Evangelization

We were pleased to award Pope John Paul II High School (Royersford) with the 2025 Angel Award. They $50,000 in grant funding in support of the school’s Family and Parish Bridge Project. The award was presented on Thursday, October 23, at our annual Angel Award Presentation, held at Union League Liberty Hill. The event convened business, civic, and philanthropic leaders dedicated to the future of the Catholic Church in Philadelphia. Together, they witnessed six finalist organizations present bold, mission-driven evangelization initiatives—each one a powerful example of Catholic innovation in action.

While only one organization receives the Angel Award, every finalist deserves recognition and support. Our goal is to connect their work with more donors and community partners who can help bring their missions to life in even bigger ways. Take a look at the other deserving finalist organizations.
