The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia awarded Catholic Community Choir (CCC) in Springfield, PA, a $500 Community Impact Award for their upcoming production of Sleeping Beauty. CFGP’s Award will assist CCC in the purchase of costumes, accessories, props, and stage supplies.
CFGP was welcomed to the check presentation with a song and a dance. CCC campers sang, “Hail to the Princess Aurora” the opening song in Sleeping Beauty, and showed off their Conga skills in a dance to the theme song from their next production, Disney’s The Jungle Book. CCC’s Founder and President, Mr. Jeffrey Braconnier, and their Executive Director and Vice President, Ms. Aimee Kate Braconnier, accepted the award on behalf of their organization.
“We are extremely grateful to The Catholic Foundation,” said Ms. Braconnier, “and our children could not be more thrilled!”
CFGP’s Director of Development and Fundraising Services, Mrs. Sarah O. Hanley, thanked the Choir for hosting CFGP, and for their passionate work in the community. With the establishment of CCC, thousands of children now have the opportunity to participate in an after school program focused on faith, education, and performing arts.
